Welcome to Clinton Liberty Square! Funded by the Environmental Protection Agency's Brownfields Program, this website is a community outreach tool designed to educate residents about the Liberty Square Brownfields project. This information will assist in walking viewers through the steps that the City of Clinton has/is taking to improve the health and welfare of residents living within the gateway corridor. The end result of the redevelopment project will be a safe and economically-sustainable area which will accomplish the following: reduce threats to human health and the environment, clear land for redevelopment in order to provide new jobs and expand the local tax base, and create an aesthetically-pleasing entryway into Clinton by serving as a model for future development.
